The material wicks moisture away from the body and dries quickly. The result: maximum comfort during strenuous activities. Excess heat can escape through the mesh inserts under the arms and beneath the back yoke. G-1000 Original is a durable and adaptable material from Fjällräven. The dense fabric is wind- and water-resistant and very robust, yet extremely breathable and quick-drying. G-1000 is made from a blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, which is treated with a thin layer of Greenland wax. The wax provides additional protection against dirt, wind, and moisture and can be easily applied thicker or washed out as needed. In addition to wind and weather protection, G-1000 also shields against harmful sun rays and annoying insect bites.
