G-Loft Supreme was developed by the insulation experts at Goldeck Textil in Austria for Fjällräven. It is made from a blend of thin, hollow polyester fibers – 10% of which are recycled. These fibers have the natural ability to cluster, creating small air pockets similar to down feathers. This trapped air provides insulation against the cold by retaining your body heat. G-Loft also has the property of returning to its original shape repeatedly. This memory effect is produced by the recycled polyester fibers: they are stiffer than fibers made from raw polyester, giving the material its resilience. This characteristic remains even after many washes and extended wear.
