G-Loft Supreme was developed for Fjällräven by the insulation experts at Goldeck Textil in Austria. It is made from a blend of thin, hollow polyester fibers - 10% of which are recycled. They have the natural property of bunching together, which creates small air pockets similar to down feathers. This trapped air insulates against the cold by retaining your own body heat. G-Loft also has the property of always returning to its original shape. This memory effect is created by the recycled polyester fibers: they are stiffer than fibers made of raw polyester and give the material its bounce. This property remains even after many washes and long wear.
