G-1000 is a durable and adaptable material from Fjällräven. The dense fabric is wind and water-resistant and very robust, yet extremely breathable and quick-drying. G-1000 is made from a blend of 65% polyester and 35% cotton, which is waxed with a thin layer of Greenland wax. The wax provides additional protection against dirt, wind, and moisture, and can be easily applied thicker or washed out as needed. Besides wind and weather, G-1000 also protects against harmful sun rays and annoying insect bites.
