The Mongolian cashmere goat is native to the high mountains of the Himalayas. Despite the prevailing harsh and icy climate, it is provided with natural warmth thanks to its fluffy fine undercoat. Each cashmere goat produces only 150 to 200 grams of the precious down annually, which is hand-combed from the fleece. In Italy, these delicate fibers are spun into wonderfully soft cashmere yarn, from which FALKE No. 2 Finest Cashmere is made. The unique quality of the yarn impresses with outstanding natural thermal insulation at a low weight, giving colors a unique brilliance. Furthermore, the extreme softness and smoothness of cashmere is hard to surpass by any other natural fiber.
