Falke Pure Fil d'Ecosse is made exclusively from pure "Karnak" cotton from the Egyptian Nile Delta. After unfolding under the southern sun, the fibres and seeds are painstakingly combed out of the cotton wool to obtain a product of pure purity and softness. Italian spinning mills use the extra-long fibres to produce a yarn that is double-twisted for good strength and high durability. The additional mercerising process gives Fil d'Ecosse its silky sheen and unique colour intensity.
