These socks for women are mainly made of lyocell, which is extracted from eucalyptus. The eucalyptus is grown without artificial irrigation, without fertilisation and free of chemical additives and is therefore particularly sustainable. The Falke socks are made of 70% lyocell, 28% polyamide and 2% elastane.
Dry feet thanks to Lyocell fibres
Lyocell is made from sustainably growing eucalyptus. Since these trees can be grown without fertilisation or artificial irrigation, the fibre is free of chemical additives and therefore particularly environmentally friendly. The fibre name Lyocell is offered under the name Tencel by the company Lenzing AG. Tencel fibres have the property of being particularly resistant to dryness and wetness. They are also very soft, making them comfortable to wear. Another positive property of the Tencel fibre is that it absorbs moisture very well. The fibre is not only used for the production of socks, Lyocell is also popular for the production of other functional garments for work or sports, for underwear or for textiles in the medical field.
