The separate and easily accessible safety compartment for the probe and shovel keeps the essentials within reach in case of an emergency. Additionally, the new variable fixation system allows for quick attachment of skis, snowboards, and snowshoes to the outside of the backpack using two separate straps: skis can be secured diagonally or in an A-shape, while snowboards and snowshoes can be attached vertically. The flexible attachment straps also serve for lateral compression.
