The Freerider impresses with its thoughtful winter features, such as the fully opening back panel. This provides an optimal view of the gear, while also keeping the back system dry when the backpack is set down. If any snow does get onto the carrying system, the new robust, breathable, and snow-repellent material ensures a dry back. Safety is also a top priority with the Freerider. The separate and easily accessible safety compartment for the probe and shovel keeps the essentials within reach in case of an emergency. Additionally, the new variable attachment system allows for quick securing of skis, snowboards, and snowshoes on the outside of the backpack using two separate straps: skis can be attached diagonally or in an A-shape, while snowboards and snowshoes can be secured vertically. The flexible attachment straps can also be used for side compression.
