This small Dutch company focuses on recycling discarded clothing, transforming it into new garments, such as the Virga Shell Rainjacket Men. This rain jacket is an excellent example of how highly functional clothing can be made from recycled fibers and materials. The Virga Shell is made entirely from recycled materials and is crafted from a polymer. As a monopolymer, it is significantly easier to recycle than other jackets made from multiple materials, saving both effort and energy. The outer layer of the material, the membrane, and the backing material are all made from a single polymer. The jacket's impregnation is free of fluorocarbons, making it maximally sustainable as well.

From a technical standpoint, the Virga Shell Rainjacket Men is a functional barrier against moisture that does not need to hide from non-recycled jackets: the membrane is waterproof, windproof, and breathable. The 4-way stretch makes the jacket pleasantly soft, extremely flexible, and thus excellent for active pursuits. The jacket will then be sent to the Netherlands, where it will be chemically recycled and serve as the raw material for a new jacket.
