The Black Diamond Mission is a durable backpack specifically designed for ice climbing, mixed terrain climbing, and winter expeditions. It is our most robust alpine backpack. With its revised BD X-rip 420d fabric featuring UTS coating, this backpack is even more resilient and withstands intense use on the rock season after season. The SwingArm shoulder straps ensure a balanced fit, while the hip belt, lid pocket, and back panel can be completely removed. The new, custom-made metal ice tool holder provides a secure attachment for ice tools and mountaineering axes, while a front crampon pocket and a stowable rope strap keep gear secured on the outside. An internal cuff with a drawstring offers protection against penetrating moisture and completes the functional features.
