The Birkenstock classic Tokio SL has been on the market since the 1980s and has become a classic work shoe for "white-collar" professions. The clog features the anatomically shaped original Birkenstock cork-latex footbed and has a two-component sole made of a cushioning EVA midsole and a slip-resistant, profiled outsole made of genuine rubber. The outsole is also oil and grease resistant, making the clog especially suitable for daily use in hospitals, medical practices, and the gastronomy sector.

The upper material of the clog is made of soft yet shape-retaining and very high-quality leather. The clog offers comfort and safety. The closed design protects the foot from injuries caused by impacts. The adjustable strap with a sturdy metal buckle on the instep allows for a customized fit. A heel strap that can be perfectly adjusted with an individually adjustable metal buckle provides additional support and a secure step—even in the hectic situations of everyday work. All Superlaufsohlen (SL) models are tested according to the EN ISO 20347:2012 standards for slip resistance (Category SRC).
