Upcycling - turning old into new

This large shopping bag made from recycled rice sacks offers plenty of storage space for your purchases, making it perfect for extended shopping trips. Inside the bag, a waterproof black fabric is sewn in. Besides the main compartment, it features three smaller compartments: two open slip pockets and one with a zipper, adorned with our chic "Upcycling by Bekos" patch above. The bag can be closed with a zipper, and thanks to the practical, very soft carrying handles made of raw cotton, it is easy to carry on the shoulder.

The material made from recycled bags is very durable, waterproof, and long-lasting. The printed colors of the bags may show wear over time, depending on use. These are normal signs of use and are not considered defects. Each product is handmade and therefore unique, so the look and texture of the material may vary slightly. The differences between this bag and the photo are minimal, and the design is not selectable; it will be delivered according to availability.

All our products made from cement bags, rice and fish food bags, and vehicle tires are produced under the seal of FairTrade in strict compliance with the 10 Commandments. This project is certified by the World Fair Trade Organisation and awarded by UNESCO. All accessories are designed by the villagers themselves and lovingly handmade, making each one unique. The material cut-outs can vary in design because the bags are completely processed. The material with the fish motif was initially a fish food sack and later a rice sack before being transformed into these elegant accessories.
