Upcycling - Turning old into new

This large shopping bag made from recycled rice sacks offers plenty of storage space for your purchases. Enjoy extended shopping trips with it. Inside the bag, a waterproof black fabric is sewn in. Besides the main compartment, it has three smaller compartments inside: two open slip pockets and one with a zipper, featuring our chic "Upcycling by Bekos" patch above. The bag can be closed with a zipper. Thanks to the practical, very soft carrying handles made of raw cotton, the bag is also very easy to carry on the shoulder.

The material made from recycled bags is very durable, waterproof, and long-lasting. The printed colors of the bags show wear over time, depending on use. These are normal signs of use and are not a reason for defect. Each product is handmade and therefore unique. The look and texture of the material may vary slightly. The differences between this bag and the photo are minimal; therefore, the design is not selectable and will be delivered according to availability.

All our products from cement bags, rice and fish food bags, and vehicle tires are produced under the seal of FairTrade in strict compliance with the 10 Commandments. This project is certified by the World Fair Trade Organisation and awarded by UNESCO. All accessories are designed by the villagers themselves and lovingly handmade. Each one is unique, and the material cut-outs can vary in design because the bags are completely processed. The material with the fish motif was even first a fish food sack and in its second life a rice sack before it was processed into these noble accessories.
