BCA Float E2 45

The Float E2-45 is BCA's largest avalanche backpack with a volume of 45 liters. It was specially developed for professionals, mountain rescuers, guides, and individuals on long tours with overnight stays. The Float E2 airbag avalanche backpack from BCA stores energy in the Alpride E2 supercapacitor system, which powers the compressor when triggered. Unlike rechargeable batteries, which work with a chemical reaction, supercapacitors store and release energy using electromechanical properties. Supercapacitors are therefore much more reliable at low temperatures. This is also the reason why the energy stored in a supercapacitor is released more quickly when it is triggered. The new E2 engine is 40 percent smaller and 25 percent lighter than the old Alpride E1 system with a 162-liter airbag. Like the E1, the E2 is also approved by the TSA, so traveling is no problem. The E2 system simplifies air travel, while the innovative side stash pocket and back stash zip make snow travel easier: a sip of water, hat, gloves, goggles, or even skins can be packed away virtually on the fly!
