ASICS SportStyle Sneaker "EX89" orange

The EX89 combines the traditional influences of the GEL-EXTREME from 1989 with modern cushioning properties. It was originally designed by Toshikazu Kayano in the late 1980s as his first design project at ASICS. The layered leather construction of the upper meets vibrant color blocking that complements the iconic team uniforms of the era. We have updated the cushioning system with our FF BLAST technology. The curved heel shape enhances comfort underfoot in everyday situations. The outsole pattern is intended to reflect an aerial view of a city. This functional grip feature was originally inspired by the designer's first business trip to the United States in 1987.
