The GEL-NYC trainer draws inspiration from both traditional and modern performance running shoes. The upper design takes its cue from the GEL-NIMBUS 3 from the early 2000s and combines it with various design elements from the MC-Plus V. The sole contrasts with the retro influences of the upper by utilising the cushioning system from the GEL-Cumulus 16. Through a combination of lightweight foams and GEL technology inserts, this midsole construction helps to create advanced comfort underfoot.
