Founded in 1927 in Brest, Fileuse d'Arvor is the oldest knitting company in Brittany. Since 1946 based in Quimper, the company has top-notch expertise in flat knitting. Their iconic garments have traveled the world, including the legendary Marinière known as "Midship." Knitted from an incomparably soft combed cotton yarn, the authentic Marinière Brest© is crafted in the workshops of Quimper, adhering to the traditional assembly of the Midship of the Marine Nationale. It also accompanied the training ship Jeanne d'Arc on its last journey around the globe.
