Hematite and lava stone (or basalt) are closely associated with the root chakra in Eastern philosophy. It is said that hematite grounds the root chakra in the earth, brings balance to individuals, and anchors them in the moment, while lava stone releases inner energies and helps manifest one's desires.

Hematite has a strong historical connection to Mars, the Roman god of war, and ancient warriors ground it into a powder to paint their faces red before battle. The porous nature of lava stone makes it ideal for applying essential oils, adding a touch of aromatherapy to your daily life.

These strands of hematite and lava stone are woven on strong nylon threads, and the surrounding braid gives the bracelet a leather-like stiffness. This men's bracelet is secured with a braided clasp featuring the Arkai logo.

If you are not familiar with this type of braided clasp, the trick to tightening it is to place one end at the base of your thumb and hold it with your pinky or ring finger. With your free hand, pull on the other end to tighten the bracelet around your wrist.
