Adidas Superstar

Released in 1986, the Superstar was the low-top counterpart to the Pro Model and the first flat basketball leather sneaker from the traditional German company based in Franconia. The Superstar gained its unique identity through the rubber toe cap, which quickly became known as the "Shell Toe." After the hip-hop superstars "RUN DMC" dedicated their song "My adidas" to the Superstar and wore it unlaced at all their performances, the Superstar achieved an iconic status that continues to this day. The collaborations with "Bathing Ape," also known as the "Bape-Stars" from 2003, and of course the 35th anniversary edition are legendary.
