Question about Glengoyne 21 years

Can someone please answer my question about what happens with opened bottles? I really like to have an outstanding whisky, then of course different ones. But does the content suffer if the bottle has been opened for a long time? Is it better to open only one bottle at a time? Or how or what?

It depends on how long you store the whisky or keep it "open". Basically, half a year should not be a problem. But that is only a guideline. The longer the whisky is open, the "softer" it becomes, as the alcohol evaporates or oxidises through the penetration of air. With wine this is a problem after a few days, with whisky it takes much longer and it is still enjoyable after years, perhaps just not in the "fullness" it had at the beginning. But that's why you can have 10 bottles open at the same time, otherwise it's no fun.

PS: The Glengoyne 21 Years is really a very good - and above all affordable - whisky at this age.
