A small introduction to the Tatratea range is provided by this tasting set of six 4cl bottles. The liqueurs are made on the basis of tea, fruit extracts, herbs and spices.
From the Tatra Mountains on the Polish-Slovak border, which rises to over 2,600 meters above sea level, come the origins of the Tatratea brand, launched in 2008. The inhabitants of this compact mountain region with dramatic peaks and passes have always made their very own tea. For this, hot water was poured over various herbs and enhanced with honey, ginger, alcohol and other substances. The recipes of these "teas" were very different in each case. In more recent times, it was mainly hikers and travelers who stopped in the mountain chalets who came into contact with the hot drinks. In the Tatra Distillery in the town of Kežmarok at the foot of the mountains, they now produce a tea-based liqueur. Ingredients for the original version are black tea from India, oak chips and unspecified herbs and spices. Through maceration, filtration, storage and addition of various other substances (water, fruit extracts, alcohol, sugar, natural flavors and fruit distillates) the final drink is created. Of course, the original liqueur is not the only one: Tatratea now produces many other liqueurs with different flavors and alcohol contents. Thanks to different bottle colors, these are also not easily confused with each other.
The tasting set contains six 4cl bottles of Coconut (22%, with coconut), Citrus (32%, with lime and lemon), Peach & White Tea (42%, with peaches), Forest Fruit (62%, with wild berries), Outlaw (72%, with cinchona bark extracts) and Original (52%).

This tea has the second lowest alcohol content in the Tatratea range, at 32%. The designation "Citrus" means that the tea has a full-bodied citrus flavor while retaining its delightful tea-fruit aroma.

Tatratea 37% hibiscus & red tea liqueur is made from extracts of hibiscus, red tea, and sour cherries. This product contains natural antioxidants that contribute to the breakdown of fat cells, blood purification, and strengthening the immune system.
