Product details

100% fresh astragalus root tea

Origin/Cultivation:

Astragalus is endemic to China. It is cultivated in the provinces of Shaanxi, Gansu, Heilongjjang and Jiang. In China, the plant is called "Huang Qi" and means "yellow leader". The reason for this is, on the one hand, the yellow colour and, on the other hand, its leading position as a tonic plant together with the native ginseng variations. In Mongolia and Korea, too, the astragalus root is considered a tonic that can improve the life energy Qi, or also called Prana. We import astragalus, also called tragacanth, from the Shaanxi region.

Taste/effect:

The root or the hot water infusion has a pleasant, full-bodied, slightly bitter taste and gives body and mind an energy boost.

Preparation:

Steep 2 teaspoons in hot water for 15 minutes. 1 - 3 cups daily.

Synonyms:

Huang Qi (China), Kibana-Ogi (Japan), Hwang-Gi (Korea), tragacanth, buckthorn.
