Product details
Ashwagandha Root Tea BIO (Indian Ginseng)
Origin/Cultivation:
India; harvested north of Kanpur on the border with Nepal.
History:
Ashwagandha has been used as a natural adaptogen for several millennia. The Hindu name is "Asgandh", which can be translated as horse sweat. It is said to give the strength of a horse and an alert mind.
Ashwagandha is not yet very widespread in continental Europe, but it is quite different in England, the USA and Australia, where large Indian communities have immigrated and are helping the plant to regain popularity in our cultural sphere. In India itself, all parts of the plant are used, e.g. the berries are used for making cheese or the twigs for brushing teeth. However, the roots of the shrub are of particular use.
This Ayurvedic plant is becoming more and more popular due to its strengthening and calming effect!
