Villiger is one of the leading manufacturers of cigars and cigarillos. With a production capacity of over one billion cigars per year and more than 1,600 employees, the Villiger Group is a significant player in the cigar industry. Production is concentrated in four factories: at the company's headquarters in Switzerland, which was founded in 1888, in Germany, and in Indonesia on the island of Java. Villiger handmade cigars are produced in the company's own factory in Brazil, the subsidiary in Nicaragua, and by a subcontractor in the Dominican Republic. Villiger Söhne AG in Switzerland and Villiger Söhne GmbH in Germany exclusively produce machine-made cigars and manage exports worldwide. Villiger's best-selling markets are its home markets in Switzerland and Germany, followed by Spain and the USA. Distribution is carried out through its own sales companies in the USA and France, as well as through qualified importers in the rest of the world. The subtly sweetened mouthpiece is the highlight of a harmonious composition of exceptional tobaccos. The cigarillos are wrapped in an Indonesian wrapper and feature a distinctive black-brown striped filter paper with an elegant golden ring.
