The legendary "Ping" sound
The Ligne 2 lighter collection emits a distinctive and instantly recognizable crystal-clear sound. When the lid is opened, a "Ping" is heard. This "Ping" sound occurred purely by chance in the Ligne 2 lighter collection in 1976. However, when it was discovered that many Ligne 2 lighters were sent in for maintenance after some owners attempted to perfect the sound through "minor modifications," the manufacturing team ultimately decided not to change the design and construction of the Ligne 2 lighters.
