The special energy-saving Sonett method of saponification, the use of oils and essential oils from controlled organic cultivation, as well as a favorable price-performance ratio, are the outstanding features of this product. It is suitable for colored and white laundry made of cotton, linen, hemp, and blended fabrics.
Soap made from vegetable oils has a unique property compared to all other surfactants: it immediately combines with the lime present in wastewater after application to form lime soap, thereby neutralizing its surfactant properties towards aquatic organisms (primary degradation). The lime soap is then quickly broken down by microorganisms into 100% carbon dioxide and water (secondary degradation).
In the production process of sugar surfactants, coconut fatty alcohol sulfate, and sulfated castor oil, parts from the plant raw materials starch, sugar, and fat are extracted, which remain intact in their natural structure. Therefore, it is relatively easy for microorganisms to completely break down these surfactants to 100%. According to the OECD, soap, sugar surfactants, coconut fatty alcohol sulfate, and sulfated castor oil are considered readily biodegradable.
