Product details
Indian black tea with a characteristically delicate and sweet spiciness. Primarily an afternoon beverage, this classic tea can be enjoyed at any time of day, with or without milk. Darjeeling is one of the most renowned tea varieties. The region around the Indian town of Darjiling is the center of Bengali tea cultivation; it was also the starting point of a caravan route to Tibet and is still known today primarily for its often very high-quality tea of the same name.
Unlike commercially available Darjeelings, Purple Breeze uses only tea of the highest classification SFTGFOP1 (Special Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe). Handpicked in the historic tea gardens on the southern slopes of the Himalayas, this Darjeeling offers the characteristic sweet spiciness.
A Darjeeling should be brewed at a water temperature of 95-98 °C (let the water sit after boiling in the kettle until it stops boiling). The tea should steep for only 2-3 minutes. At low water hardness levels, the Darjeeling can best unfold its aroma. The handcrafted Sirocco tea bags are designed for a water volume of 200 to 250 ml.

Instructions for use | The Golden Assam black tea from Sirocco should be brewed at a water temperature of 95-98°C. To do this, leave the water to stand briefly in the kettle after boiling and wait until it stops boiling. Only leave the tea to infuse for 2-3 minutes, otherwise bitter substances will form. IMPORTANT: Darjeeling cannot fully develop its flavour if the water hardness is high. |
