Sirocco Matcha

In Japan, matcha is traditionally consumed from a bowl. Crafted with great precision yet simple in design, a high-quality matcha is particularly highlighted in this setting. A bamboo spoon, known as Chashaku, is used to measure the green matcha powder. The Chashaku is carved from bamboo and patiently shaped by hand over hot steam into its spoon form. Completing the set is the intricately cut bamboo whisk, called Chasen in Japanese. With the Chasen, the matcha powder is whisked into a delightful drink with a light froth.
