Sirocco Tea Tin Medium Genmaicha (120g)
Our fine Genmaicha comes from the main island of Honshū, in Shizuoka Prefecture. The region is known as the centre of the Japanese tea trade. The special soil conditions, coupled with a special climate, distinguish this region and allow the plants to thrive fantastically. The basis for our Genmaicha is a particularly high-quality, small-leaf green tea - in contrast to the usual simpler and large-leaf Bancha qualities used for Genmaicha. The natural rice is roasted with the greatest care, so that not a single grain of rice pops up. This care is ultimately noticeable in the cup. A bright green cup colour and highly aromatic notes. On the palate, the contrasting flavours of fresh green tea and the sweet, nutty notes of the roasted rice come together in a successful combination.
