Product details

These butter cookies are no ordinary butter cookies, because they are refined with a pinch of Atlantic sea salt, so-called fleur de sel, from Guérande on the French west coast. This gives the golden brown cookies with 23% butter a balanced sweetness and a unique taste that you can otherwise only find on vacation in Brittany. The cane sugar is fair trade and most of the ingredients are sourced from France. The stackable cardboard package eliminates the need for individual packs and sorting inserts. Once opened, the cookies should be stored in an airtight tin. Incidentally, the embossing on the cookie is a Celtic symbol of the Breton Duchy.

In our opinion, half of the organic butter biscuits tested contained too much potentially carcinogenic acrylamide, while none of the conventional biscuits did. Why is that? One possible explanation is that most of the conventional biscuits contain enzymes, whereas the organic biscuits do not.
