The EU organic label is the European mark for organic food produced according to the EU Organic Regulation. It specifies how plant and animal organic foods must be produced: at least 95 percent of the ingredients must come from organic farming. No organic-synthetic pesticides or chemically-synthetic fertilizers are used. GMO-free production.

Animal husbandry must meet the requirements for ventilation, space and comfort needs, as well as light requirements of the animals. Feeding must consist of organically produced feed without the addition of antibiotics and growth promoters. The use of plant-based or homeopathic medicines is preferred for treating sick animals. The feeding of animal meal is prohibited.

For labeling, the code number of the organic control and the origin of all ingredients must be clearly visible in the field of view of the EU organic logo on the product.
