nu3 Matcha

The nu3 organic Matcha tea powder is made from high-quality first flush green tea from the Kagoshima region in south-west Japan. The tea leaves are shaded before harvesting to increase the chlorophyll content and reduce bitterness. After harvesting, the leaves are gently steamed, dried and slowly ground into the finest powder on granite stone mills. This process preserves the valuable ingredients and ensures a mild, slightly sweet flavour without a bitter note. The matcha is 100% pure and contains no artificial additives or pesticides. Matcha tea is easy to prepare: one or two bamboo spoons (approx. 1/2 teaspoon) of the powder are poured over with hot water at around 80 °C and whisked until frothy with a bamboo whisk. Alternatively, a milk frother or a sealed glass can be used. The tea is ideal as a morning pick-me-up or as a healthy alternative to coffee. One tin contains about 30 g of powder, which is enough for about 15 preparations.
