The portable water purifier NW-5-EWP from Naturewater is the ideal tool to access clean water even on the go. The 10-liter bag can be used in emergency situations and filled with water from lakes or rivers. It can also be utilized while hiking or camping to produce fresh drinking water from the local water sources. To do this, water is filled into the bag and passes through the following four filtration stages:

1. Stage 1: PP sediment filter: removes dust, sand, silt, dirt, algae, and rust particles from the water.
2. Stage 2: iodinated resin: used to kill bacteria in raw water.
3. Stage 3: coconut charcoal: additionally removes residual chemicals, odors, and suspended particles.
4. Stage 4: 0.01-micron hollow fiber UF membrane: removes 99% of targeted contaminants including cadmium, mercury, lead-arsenic, some heavy metals, and microorganisms.

It takes about ten minutes for the water to pass through the various filtration stages. At the bottom of the bag, there is a water drain valve that connects to the supplied cartridge and hose. A container is placed under the hose, into which the hose hangs. The water drain valve is then opened, and the container is filled about twice with black water. Clean water then flows in, which is suitable for drinking, washing, and cooking. The BPA-free water filter bag maintains its filtration performance for approximately 1,000 liters of water.
