Munz Caramel

Swiss chocolate specialty with caramel. Crispy-sweet caramel core, coated in the finest dark chocolate. Contents: 10 pieces (190 g). An ideal companion for coffee and tea. Produced in Switzerland. The Maestrani brand was founded by Ludovico Aquilino Maestrani, known as Aquilino, who learned chocolate making in Lombardy from his father. In 1852, he settled in Lucerne and opened his own shop. In 1859, Aquilino moved his business to St. Gallen and established the Marble House with modern exhibition and sales rooms. In addition to fine chocolate, he also offered other delicacies and tropical fruits there. Aquilino had capable helpers and successors in his three sons Ludovico, Roberto, and Savino for the family business. Due to high demand, the name Maestrani became synonymous with good chocolate and was even appointed as the court supplier to King Umberto of Italy in 1884. As a pioneer, Maestrani began producing organic and Fairtrade chocolate as early as 1987, ensuring sustainability and fair trade to this day. With the acquisition of Munz in 1998, the construction of the new production hall in Flawil began, and all production and administration were relocated there in 2004 to continue creating excellent chocolate specialties like Minor and Munz.
