Product details

Matcha powder consists of ground green tea leaves. Mrs Flury Matcha powder comes from Japan. It has a long tradition there - not only in consumption, but also in cultivation. The process is demanding, labour-intensive and has strict specifications to ensure that the plant meets the requirements for later processing into matcha powder. The leaves are also harvested by hand. After harvesting, the leaves are gently ground to ensure the quality of the powder. Matcha naturally contains many antioxidants and caffeine. The difference in caffeine content between matcha and coffee is not great and varies depending on how the coffee is prepared. However, the caffeine in matcha is absorbed in the body differently to the caffeine in coffee - it is absorbed more slowly, which prevents an afternoon energy slump.
