The main ingredient, fructose-glucose syrup, makes the Maurten bar intensely sweet. In combination with oats, rice flour and rice bran, this makes for a rather chewy and sticky consistency. The flavour is reminiscent of candy floss, although the Cocoa variety is slightly less sweet. In relation, both bars contain a lot of salt.
