Ólixir Organic extra virgin olive oil

Ólixir Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a high quality edible oil obtained from the last harvest in Sicily. This oil is made from a special blend of indigenous Sicilian olive varieties, grown organically and harvested early in the season while the olives are still green. Within 12 hours of harvesting, the oil is cold-pressed using a low-oxygen system to preserve the quality of the oil. A cellulose filter removes 100% of the residue, which improves the long-term stability of the oil. The result is a fruity bouquet with subtle notes of green olives, wild herbs and artichoke, rounded off with a hint of black pepper. The oil offers a balanced flavour profile with a pleasant bitterness and a slight spiciness, which is indicative of its high polyphenol content. It is suitable for both cold and hot dishes and is an indispensable ingredient for salads and grilled vegetables. Obtained from organically grown, early harvested olives.
