Product details

Ibn Al Awwam, an agronomist from Andalusia, described the cultivation of artichokes as early as the 12th century in his work "Book of Agriculture". This suggests that this plant was already being consumed at that time. It probably originated from a wild thistle and was cultivated in Egypt and Ethiopia.

The artichoke is good for the gallbladder and does not really have a pleasant flavour. The taste can be harmonised with mint, for example.
