Product details
The papaya originates from tropical Central America and southern Mexico. It has been cultivated since pre-Columbian times. Its name comes from the word "ababai," which meant "tree of health" among the Caribbean indigenous people. The papaya belongs to the family of melon trees. Its skin varies in color from light yellow to pink, depending on the variety. Papaya has a pleasant, slightly sweet, and very aromatic flavor. The tropical fruit is made up of almost 9% water.
Recommended use: Dried papaya is a wonderful snack for between meals and also tastes great when combined with nuts. Our dried papaya strips contain no additives or sugar.
