Product details
The papaya originates from tropical Central America and southern Mexico. It has been cultivated since pre-Columbian times. Its name comes from the word "ababai," which means "tree of health" in the language of the Caribbean indigenous people. The papaya belongs to the family of melon trees. Its skin varies in color from light yellow to pinkish, depending on the variety. Papaya has a pleasant, slightly sweet, and very aromatic flavor. The tropical fruit is composed of almost 9% water.
Recommended use: Dried papaya is a wonderful snack for in-between meals and also tastes excellent when combined with nuts. Our dried papaya strips contain no additives or sugar.
