The CLARIS filter capacity provides the ideal water for perfect coffee specialties. The capacity of a filter cartridge depends on the water hardness level.

The intelligent water filter with the Plus Coffee consists of 98 percent water. Accordingly, its perfect quality is essential for an exquisite coffee result. With CLARIS Smart+, JURA further revolutionizes water filtration. The technology of the water filter ensures enhanced hygiene in the fully automatic coffee machine – already in the water tank. The CLARIS filter cartridge also has a depot at its lower end containing natural active ingredients that stabilize the water in the tank, thereby reducing limescale deposits at the bottom of the tank. This works entirely without additional energy or intervention, simply through the natural movement of the water in the tank, which continuously flows through the depot. Meanwhile, the upper part of the CLARIS filter cartridge filters the necessary amount of water for coffee preparation using ion exchange and activated carbon in the upflow principle.

Thanks to RFID technology, the fully automatic machine also recognizes whether a filter is in place and automatically activates the corresponding mode. It continuously collects information on filter usage and notifies when the capacity is exhausted.
