The team at Island Bakery has long yearned to create a savory creation. With such fantastic artisanal cheese, like that from the Isle of Mull Cheesery, made right on our doorstep, it would have been crazy to look for inspiration any further than the same island. Aside from the cheese, all ingredients are organically grown. Like all their cookies, these are made in their environmentally sustainable factory powered by local, renewable energy.
These butter cookies have a melt-in-your-mouth texture, with the flavor of Isle of Mull Cheese combined with onions and aromatic thyme for a soft yet hearty taste. Island Bakery is a family business run by Joe and Dawn Reade. It all began modestly with freshly baked bread for the island's residents. Soon, the couple started making artisanal cookies so that everyone could enjoy a little piece of the Isle of Mull.
