Product details

Casareccia originates from Sicily, but is also typical of other, southern parts of the country. In the shape of a small, smooth piece of parchment, rolled up in itself and curved towards the tip, the name of this type of pasta recalls its simple origin: it is an interpretation of the "pasta busiata" of Arabic origin, made with the fine cane of a plant on which the pieces of dough were rolled up. Casareccia is actually eaten with classic ragout, but the smooth and slightly porous surface also provides ideal support for any kind of sauce- from traditional to simple.
