From A for pineapple to O for orange, there are numerous varieties of Capri-Sun. In 1931, Rudolf Wild founded a company for food ingredients in Heidelberg. His philosophy: only natural raw materials and no chemicals. He was looking for a lightweight and stable alternative to heavy and fragile glass bottles. This led to the development of the drink pouch with a straw, and thus Capri-Sun was born. Even astronauts today drink from an advanced version of the Capri-Sun pouch.
