adorini Hygrometer
Product details
Nowadays, most humidors are self-regulating and therefore do not require monitoring. However, some aficionados may want to know more precisely what is happening in their humidor and how their cigars are doing. A hygrometer and possibly even a thermometer are therefore the accessories of choice. There are significant qualitative differences among hygrometers. The simplest analog models from the Far East, which are found in many inexpensive humidors, only contain a metal coil inside, which is often very inaccurate. Better models feature real hair, while even better ones use synthetic hair. Adorini's hygrometers are equipped with synthetic hair and optimized for a display range between 65 and 75% relative humidity. The analog hygrometer (1565) was awarded the test winner by Stiftung Warentest in March 2003. The hygrometer is delivered pre-calibrated. Whether one ultimately chooses an analog or digital hygrometer is a matter of personal preference. On one hand, there is the classic display without battery changes, and on the other hand, the more technical and possibly "masculine" silver version, which requires occasional battery replacements.
