Unit bought, initially without problems, now after a few times of use the ER1611 no longer cuts well. With cleaning and oiling it gets a little better each time, but it no longer comes close to the initial performance. This can't be right, or am I missing something? Does anyone have any ideas?

I have been using the device once a week for almost 2 years for head and beard hair. It still cuts perfectly. I only clean the cutting attachment dry with a brush and oil it every 1-2 months.
