I did some tests and this is clearly not registering even adding 40g. It is not precise enough for a baby scale. Our use case was to measure a premature baby after each feeding when the baby is supposed to eat 40-70ml after each feeding. I guess I will return it.

I am going to test more - in the end, I checked it with a coffee scale that is .1g accurate and this scale is within 10g of that scale for small weights. I also learned that once you put the baby on the scale, the scale registers the weight and does not change anymore. So I basically press Tare when the baby is on the scale and then remove the baby to get a more accurate value.
