To find a new approach to this note, perfumer Anne Flipo drew inspiration from what happens when Oud wood is burned. Carried by the scent of sweet dates, the precious Oud wood accord then merges with the velvety note of Turkish roses. Vanilla adds delicate, soft undertones, while incense intoxicates us with its dense, smoky facets: its warmth stands in intriguing contrast to the cool touch of white musk and aldehydes. In this way, the impression of a cloud of warm, sensual Oud wood is once again created.

Moonlight Patchouli is a tribute to a cult ingredient in the art of perfumery. Light and shadow seem to merge in this fragrance. The mysterious composition consists of notes that conjure the poetic image of radiant moonlight, making the night briefly feel like day.
The star of this perfume is patchouli, which mostly comes from Indonesia. Its essence has been highly popular for centuries. As an Asian plant, it first arrived in Britain in the 19th century and then in France. It has repeatedly come into fashion, such as the fragrant touch of cashmere shawls from the other side of the world. Occasionally, its precious leaves also perfumed travel trunks. It takes fifty kilograms of leaves to produce one kilogram of essential oil. The powerful, earthy scent simultaneously exudes a camphor-like freshness that appeals to both men and women.
Today, the patchouli note is refined, selecting its most attractive characteristics until only the intense woody aroma remains. The underbrush undertone with cocoa accents has a high recognition value and takes us on an imaginary journey to exotic lands.
Then, the moon seems to bathe this patchouli note in a dreamlike light in the heart note, as if Bulgarian roses and enchanting powdery iris bloom anew at night. In the base note, a suede accord expands the fragrance impression with a leathery-fruity facet that lasts particularly long. On the skin, men experience the woody side and the leather facet, while women unveil a floral-powdery scent signature.
