The device’s battery lasts for 1,500 measurements. Weighing just around 130 grammes, the Dräger Alcotest 4000 fits comfortably in the hand. Its shock-resistant casing protects against accidental damage. After you have blown into the mouthpiece, the exhaled air is channelled through the device, and only a small sample is taken for analysis. This ensures that no alcohol accumulates in the device, meaning all readings remain accurate and reliable – just like with the police.

3. Dräger Alcotest 6000
Alcohol tests are possible with this device in a temperature range between -5 and +50 °C, even at very high alcohol levels – whether in active mode (the user blows into the mouthpiece) or passive measurement (where the alcohol content of the surrounding air is measured). Due to its high quality, we have classified the Alcotest 6000 in accuracy class 1+, which also includes the preliminary test devices used by the police. The Dräger Alcotest 6000 can be used within seconds after being turned on, depending on the configuration, and the measurement result is displayed after just three to ten seconds, depending on the breath alcohol content. Navigation is intuitive, and all measurement functions can be selected with a single button: the large green button in the center is used to perform a measurement, while the two menu buttons can be used for advanced functions, such as displaying the last 500 test results. The large, backlit display of the Dräger Alcotest 6000 allows for easy reading even in poor lighting and visibility conditions. LEDs and acoustic signals assist you in operating the device, which, despite its precise and high-quality technology, has a compact format that fits into any jacket pocket.
